August is a huge month for Jamaica. With emancipation day being on the 1rst of the month and independence day being on the 6th. So I was not able to do my emancipation day post. Life of a mom (Baby Girl wont let me be great.) Non the less, I had to bring you a independence day post.
With that being said, I would like to wish my home country a Happy Independence Day. August 6, 1962 marked the day Jamaican gained its Independence. This day has since been recognized as an holiday for all Jamaican citizens. It is tradition for various independence celebrations across the country. It is one of the best times to visit and part take in some of the festivities.
Speaking of independence day, I want to extend a huge shout out Kimberley Gunn whom myself on behalf of Classify Beauty sponsored for the Miss Maroon Town Beauty Pageant. It was a pleasure working with you. I hope you liked the items I sent you. Congrats to you on placing first runner up and the other contestants who placed as well as the others who participated. I wish I was there to celebrate with you all. But as you know I have other obligations. With that being said, I send my sincere wishes on your future endeavors. I low key wish I was there right now not only to attend the pre-independence day event and crowning but to celebrate with you all this major accomplishment.
Now lets get into this outfit. For this post I wanted to be on the creative side. Though I rarely wear t-shirts, I thought it would be a fun way to showcase my creativity. I went ahead and came up with a design for my t-shirt. Shout out to my vendor Shadow Designz for printing this piece for me. As you can see I went with the red, green, and gold color scheme as opposed to the black, green, and gold flag colors. You know me, I don't like to be predictable.
For this look , I put my design on a boyfriend t-shirt. I went with it to add a tom boy effect. I'm gonna be all the way real with you all. You know I cant be anything else. This skort came into play as I was trying to figure out what to wear with this outfit and it came to mine when I saw it in my closet. As for the bag, It was gifted to me by my mom a few months back and I immediately fell in love with it. I've been wanting to wear it for a while now but I didn't quite figure out just how I wanted to go about it. I added the waist belt after noticing I had it and it went well with my fit.
